THE CONTENT INCLUDED IN THE UNCLASSIFIEDS SECTION DOES NOT REFLECT THE OPINIONS OF THE BROCK PRESS STAFF OR THE BROCK PRESS ADS DEPARTMENT. THE BROCK PRESS STAFF RETAINS THE RIGHT TO PUBLISH WHAT SUBMISSIONS THEY DEEM APPROPRIATE.To the individuals who are posting comments that cast the students of the Department of Dramatic Arts in a negative light:
Although I perceive that some of your comments are motivated by a certain good humoured spirit of 'making fun,' there are also some remarks that bear an unfortunately sinister tone (I note for example the word 'hate' is used in one instance: "I'm going to have to agree with the guy who hates drama students."). As a teaching and learning community that should be priding itself on diversity, curiosity for the other, not to mention intellectual and creative curiosity for disciplines other than one's own, I must confess to being rather surprised that some of your remarks have actually passed editorial muster and are appearing in print. Nonetheless, I would like these individuals to feel free to come and speak to me about the various degrees we offer in the Department: I'll happily outline the intellectual, creative and pedagogical pathways we pursue in offering our programming. Who knows, you might find yourself wanting to minor in Dramatic Arts...

In the past weeks, there have been unclassifieds printed in regards to the Dramatic Arts department at Brock university
In printing the comments, it has come to the attention of The Brock Press that some of the words used in those unclassifieds may have fostered an environment of hostility and bullying towards to Drama department.
Any further unclassifieds received about this particular issue with the Drama department, positive or negative (the newspaper still has a duty to remain unbiased) will not be printed in the unclassifieds section.
It is the policy of The Brock Press to use discretion when deciding which unclassifieds to run. In the future, The Brock Press will use even greater consideration when selecting unclassifieds to be printed. We will reference the guidelines expressed in the Brock University Respectful Learning and Working Environment Policy in making our decisions.

Today is your birthday. I bet you feel like the most special person in the entire world. You should.
Fact: you also share your birthday with Mel Lastman, Chingy and Matthew Grey Gruber of Criminal Minds fame. You should invite them all for beers tonight. Especially the last one.
Happy birthday little kitten!

I'm sorry this didn't make it in sooner, but better late than never. I hope you had a great birthday last week and you enjoyed your present. Less than two months until our adventure officially starts (fingers crossed). I love you more than anything in the world. Happy belated birthday babe. We will go for sushi soon, and maybe find our own Crispy, but call him Crash.
