Crashing couches: The new way to travel the world
I am impressed with this project, I find it extremely practical, no wonder so many people fell for it. I would be more that glad to be a part of this project, I am sure all the experiences will be unique and memorable, it's a great alternative, specially for the young and adventurers.

I keep a brick in my purse for sentimental reasons
I know that PROUD dismisses the kids who will miss the bars, but I think their complaint is as relevant as any. Port Dalhousie is a storehouse of memories for families stretching back for almost ten generations. When those memories get bulldozed and power shovelled away in order to erect a nondescript and dysfunctional piece of architectural claptrap, then we are losing so much more than just a few hang-outs, or old buildings or historical artifacts. We are losing the social glue that gives Port Dalhousie a special place in our heats and in our narratives, and gives people a reason to come to this city. We are losing the very soul of St. Catharines, and for what? So that a few people can walk off with their treasure, leaving the rest of us to clean up the mess behind them? Fight the Tower!

Swine flu: there is an 0.00085 per cent
chance you have it
The author writes, with no evidence whatsoever, "the process of examination has erupted into cross-continental panic and fear which has resulted in individuals taking extreme, and arguably excessive, precaution..." Such as?
Recent Gallup polls show that most people have done practically nothing except read, watch, and learn about what a pandemic might be. www.gallup.com/poll/118258/Americans-Split-Media-Coverage-Swine-Flu.aspx?version=print and some other polls, also not showing much in the way of public hysteria (as opposed to public interest in a good story): www.gallup.com/tag/Healthcare.aspx I can't figure out who all the reporters are talking with, to get such an impression of panic and hysteria. My best guess: each other.

Against the grain: Goodbye GST, hello HST
This government is all about stupid laws and raiseing taxes.First term in office they said they werent going to raise taxes months later we have Ohip premiums paid only by the ones that arent fortunate enough to work for the government and then we re-elect the same idiots over again for another term. Second term as if we werent already paying enough taxes were going to get hit again, taking another two thousand bucks out of your pocket on top of the eighteen hundred they took the first term. But that isnt the last tax they are going to hit us with, then comes the cap and trade, more taxes.
This is on top of increases we are going to see in our hydro rates if you havent seen them already through the installation of so called smart meters were hydro rates will increase almost 100% ,just another way for the liberals to raise cash. Then they thought of more ways to raise cash by introducing a .05% alcohol limit so they can catch people who have had one beer and give them a fine.
Then if that isnt enough they found another way of raiseing cash by introducing a law that says your racing if you exceed the speed limit by fifty kilometers and take your car without a court finding you guilty incurring hefty fines and towing charges,so what happened to the law of innocent until proven guilty ,just another tax . If you keep voting for a tax and spend government this wont be the last taxes your going to see, send the morons down the road next election.
