OPIRG Community Book Swap

When: Friday, Feb. 24, 2012

Time: 2:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Location: OPIRG InfoShop, 21 King St.

Bring your gently used books to the InfoShop, pick up some new-to-you good reads, visit with other community members and attend a fun event – all in the convenience of your own neighbourhood.

$2 donations will be accepted at the door for the ongoing "Support The InfoShop" campaign.

Reading Rocks Junior Volunteers Needed

An early literacy intervention program for children 4 - 6 years old has begun in Niagara Falls. Volunteers work with students and run literacy workstations to support program facilitators and gain great experience for those wanting to teach or work with young children.

Training dates: Feb. 13 and 15 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. (in St. Catharines)

Program timeline: Feb. 27 – Apr. 16 (excluding March break) Mon & Wed from            5:45 – 7:15 p.m.

Location: Heximer Ave P.S. & St. Thomas More school

Police clearances required

Antonia Mantonakis, CCOVI Fellow and Associate Professor of Marketing at Brock University

Topic: Does a wine's name influence consumer taste perception?
