The Brock University Students' Union shut its doors due to inclement weather on March 6, in spite of the rest of the campus remaining open - a situation that has called into question the effectiveness of the new Inclement Weather Policy. BUSU President James O'Brien commented on Brock's administrative decision-making and the reasoning behind the closure of BUSU.
Some Brock students may wonder when they will ever get a chance to put their skills learned at university to good use, but for six students in Brock's sports management program, their lessons are now being drawn upon for a good cause. Damian Ford, Nicole Jackson and Mark Stewart, along with three of their SPMA 4P09 classmates, are in the midst of organizing the Brendan Ford Run for Success charity in memory of Damian's brother Brendan, who passed away due to a heart condition at the age of 20.

Serbian Canadians, in protest of the illegal unilateral separation of Kosovo from Serbia, took to the streets, accompanied by other Canadians who do not support the separation, to encourage the Canadian government - who has currently not made a decision either way - to not recognize the separation of Kosovo.
