Too little, too late for Badgers

In a weekend that saw the Brock Badgers play six periods of strong, determined hockey, the scoreboard neglected to reflect their efforts, dropping a pair of home games to the Laurier Golden Hawks and the York Lions, both by a score of 3-2. "I think we're getting the effort that we want," said Brock captain George Bradley.

Do you think sports would be as entertaining if we didn't have favourite teams? Who would we cheer for? What would we do instead of spending an incessant amount of time on the Internet looking up stats? I mean really, it just wouldn't be the same. For myself, there are three professional sports teams that I follow religiously enough that I actually arrange my daily schedule so that I can catch their games if physically possible.

Athletes of the Week

Male Athlete of the Week Basketball player Anto Raic averaged 12 points and 3.5 rebounds over two games Nov. 27 and 28. The first-year Geography major put up a career-high 15 points versus RMC, an effort that boosted the Badgers to victory. Raic went an impressive 7-for-10 from three-point land over the weekend.

Men's Basketball The Badgers own a 3-5 OUA record after a 91-54 win against Royal Military College Nov. 27 and a 60-59 loss to Queen's Nov. 28. In game one, four Badgers hit double-figures as Joel Whitty and Male Athlete of the Week Anto Raic collected15 points each, while Didi Mukendi and Brian Nahimana added 10 apiece.
