Hosting a pair of teams from the newly-developed Eastern conference, the Brock Badgers were unable to generate a pair of crucial home wins, defeating Nipissing 2-1 then falling to Ottawa by the same score. November 13 saw the Badgers host the newest addition to the OUA this year, the Nipissing Lakers - a team that has opened eyes up across the league, starting the season an impressive 6-4-0-1 and ranked eighth in the nation coming into the weekend's action.
Sometimes things don't always work out the way you planned. For Brock's men's rugby team, while they weren't playing for OUA gold, their final game of the season meant that they could still come away from 2009 with a medal in tow. The Badgers were able to do just that, earning a 21-17 victory over McMaster on Nov.
Coming into the weekend, the Badgers were looking to gain four points and steady ground in the standings, and hosting a pair of teams below them in the standings, it seemed like the perfect opportunity. But, as with all well laid plans, things didn't exactly work out as expected.
Men's Rugby Five Badgers were selected as 2009 OUA All-stars, while senior captain Tom Clancy won the OUA Most All-Around Player award. Rory McDonell finished second in OUA scoring this year while receiving his third all-star spot in as many years.

Male Athlete of the Week Rugby player Rory McDonell was a crucial component of the bronze medal victory for the Badgers on Nov. 14. The third-year Brantford, Ontario native converted on all three tries in the game, leading his team to a 21-17 victory over McMaster.

As such, the second edition of Peanuts and Cracker Jacks - the Sport Section's very own "top-five" list - is inspired by none other than professional wrestling. That being the case, we're going to take a look at some of the greatest tag teams who, over the years, have coloured the wacky world of sports entertainment.
Well, it's been decided; Dec. 31 is set to be the day that the country stands still - not from the sheer anticipation of the 2010 countdown either. Canadians from St. John's to Vancouver Island will be eagerly awaiting the announcement of the 23 players that Steve Yzerman and company believe will give Canada the best chance to win gold at home in February.
