Black spandex. Back-flip-body-slams. A 63 year old professor of sociology. What does the above have in common? Brock Brawl. This past Sunday, Isaac's Bar and Grill hosted Brock Brawl, a professional wrestling event featuring local talent, including a Brock staff member, Professor Dan Glenday.
The week of Remembrance Day was a time of remembrance for reasons outside of Nov. 11. While countless gathered to remember fallen soldiers from past wars, as well as soldiers who lived to pass on the memories of those two destructive wars, many gathered Nov.

A patriotic crowd gathered in the Ian Beddis Gym on Nov. 11 as part of Brock's annual Remembrance Day ceremony. Those in attendance joined to honour those who have served for Canada and pay their respects to those who have been lost while doing so. The ceremony began with Aboriginal drumming, followed by The Last Post and a moment of silence.
H1N1 video released On Nov. 13, Niagara Region Public Health, in co-operation with Brock students, launched its H1N1 awareness video titled "H1N1 Boom Boom Pow". The video was designed to encourage high school, college and university students to get their H1N1 vaccination.

Wednesday, November 18 will be the first of two days for the community to help support BARC. The Brock Animal Rights Club (BARC) is a social justice-based action group, under OPIRG-Brock, which is comprised of students and members of the community. "BARC's mission is to raise awareness about all forms of animal-exploitation," explained Kimberly Costello, an active BARC member.
On Thursday, November 5, a US army officer was reported to have opened fire on fellow soldiers at Fort Hood, a Texas army base, killing 13 and wounding about 30. The Memorial Monument is being created by the CMOHC, an organization that is dedicated to the promotion of world peace and is located in Richmond Hill, Ontario. The museum was built in 2004 and is an addition to the Vishnu Mandir temple. In addition to the promotion of world peace, the Canadian Museum of Hindu Civilization (CMOHC) organization "is the first knowledge-based museum dedicated to showcasing the essence of Hinduism in North America.
On Nov. 9, 2009 a Niagara Falls man was sentenced to eight-and-a-half years for the murder of a sex worker on March 28, 2008. The safety, rights and protection of sex workers in the Niagara Region has been a topic of much debate since a case where another women was murdered, and her killer was sentenced to one day in jail.
