Director Roland Emmerich loves chase scenes. His protagonists are always forced to outrun something. Think about it: in Independence Day, it was aliens and outrunning the explosions they were creating; in Godzilla, it was outrunning a giant lizard; in The Day After Tomorrow, it was the cold (remember that scene? Yeah, it was bullshit); with 2012, it's … well, everything - the ground collapsing, buildings falling, lava spraying, oceans intruding.

The band will be playing two different sets. One comprised of all the original members, and the other with the later additions to the band.

The Swell Season - Strict Joy

The bond we form with art is a powerful thing. But it can also build expectations. After I first saw the film Once starring The Swell Season's Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova, I was stunned by the beauty of their music. So much so that, with the exception of "Drown Out", those songs on the band's self-titled debut that weren't in the film seemed lackluster by comparison.

The Snips - Blackouts EP

Blackouts marks a slight break from The Snips' characteristically horn-driven punk-rock-meets-hardcore sound. Though their prior release, Check Your Audio, displayed, at times, awkward transitions between their rocking punk riffs, catchy horn sections and chugging guitars, Blackouts has cleaned up the mix.
