Modern sideshow beckons squeamish students

By Kristen De Palma

It might seem stupid to voluntarily place a cinder block on your lap and proceed to direct a friend to smash it with a sledgehammer, but Southern Ontario's Jason Thomas is definitely not lacking in the brains department. In fact, he graduated from the University of Guelph in 2002 with a masters degree in Polymer Physics, before going on to earn his PhD.

In 1998, director Shekhar Kapur burst into the spotlight with his beautiful tale of a young and vibrant Queen.
