BUFS's The Proposition is a classic Western

The Proposition succeeds brilliantly at what it is trying to do - though you may not like what it is trying to do. This movie is a modern day Western, and strays little from the classic style of guns, gangs of cowboys and multiple sequences of violence. Set in the outback of Australia in the 1880s, the film begins with character Captain Stanley's statement, "I will civilize this land".

CFBU DJ Sean Boal spins his take on vinyl punk

Brock Press: What kind of music do you play, what's the format? Sean Boal: Pretty much, punk and rock music (on vinyl) but with other genre slipped in like ska, rockabilly and psychobilly. For the most part I just play the music, I interviewed the Sick Boys when they were doing their reunion show over the summer and I've been looking at possibly doing other interviews, but the show isn't really based around that format - it's just two hours of rock music.
