The slanderous saying applied to Brock University ("If you can walk and talk, you can go to Brock") truly does reflect poorly on its academic image. The fact of the matter is that long ago, Brock University did have lower admission averages. As all universities are profit-seeking, it is advantageous to have large enrolment numbers as people equal money. This reputation has slowly been eroding due to the outstanding contributions made by individuals associated with the university. I have also been doing my part by obeying my restraining order against A&E Editor Matthew Hadley and going to every other AA meeting (this was also court ordered).
This list of individuals would have no problem getting into Brock with their IQ's. Although IQ tests have been criticized due to the fact that they are standardized, many of these celebrities have academic credentials to prove their smarts. IQ was the most salient factor in determining the overall rank. However, their academic records, as well as career choices were also taken into consideration. By default, most reality TV all-stars were omitted from this list (especially any cast who was on any show with Flavour Flav.Ya BOOOOOOOOOOOOY).5.) Sharon Stone (Actress) - Films: Total Recall, Basic Instinct - IQ: 154
Equal parts beauty and brain, Sharon Stone has delivered a number of riveting performances that have garnered her multiple awards. Along with James Woods in Casino, they might have been the smartest on-screen couple. Although she graduated from an accelerated learning program in high school, she dropped out of university to become a model.
4.) Ellen Muth (Actress) - TV: Dead Like Me - IQ: 156
This up-and-coming star has won a few awards within her career. Although her acting career started at age four, she has received more attention for her recent role in Dead Like Me. She is currently a member of Intertel and Mensa, which has fairly high standards. Mensa requires one to be in the 98th percentile of IQ, while Intertel members must be is the 99th percentile.
3.) Quintin Tarantino (Director) - Movies: Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction - IQ: 160
Dropping out of high school at 15 to take acting classes may have seemed like a bad move in the short-run. However, when you are sporting an IQ of 160, success will be easy (if you put your mind to it). Tarantino is regarded as one of the greatest film directors of all time, winning countless awards. Tarantino is a member of Mensa, but claims that the rumour of his IQ was spread by his mother, in order to get his film career off the ground.
2.) Dolph Lundgren (Actor) - Films: Rocky IV, He-Man - IQ: 165
Dolph is probably best known as playing the behemoth Russian Boxer, Ivan Drago. Those punches probably wouldn't have done much to this man's IQ as it is well above genius status. He can speak five different languages fluently and has a master's degree in chemical engineering.
1.) James Woods (Actor) - Films: Ghost of Mississippi, Casino - IQ: 180
With an IQ of 180, James Woods is technically smarter than Albert Einstein (163) and Stephen Hawking (160)! Woods did his undergraduate at MIT in political science. He dropped out shortly before graduation. His inspiration to become an actor was from Tim Affleck, Ben's father. He is currently a member of Mensa.
