    The celebration of the bicentennial of the War of 1812 is far from over. This summer you can experience the Bicentennial anniversary of the historic war in a number of ways. In Port Dalhousie, at the north end of St. Catharines, the Tall Ships event is set to take place from June 29 to July 1.

    Mark Yetman’s light sentencing is another example of how rape culture privileges the rights of the rapist while disavowing those of the victims. The 2 years (less a day) sentencing allows Mark Yetman to serve his time in a provincial prison, or possibly even carry out part of his sentence as community service.

    I can remember the Brooklyn Dodgers and Jackie Robinson. I became a Dodger fan in the fall of 1952. They lost to the damn Yankees in 7 games that year. I was 10 years old and cried, but I had learned that Robinson was famous, I assumed because he was a great player.

  • Senior’s night in the Bronx

    If this was 2007, the New York Yankees may have managed to bring together one of the greatest baseball teams in history this season. However, it’s 2013 and as a result, the Yankees are just old. The Yankees were already the oldest team in Major League Baseball (MLB) and added to this with the addition of Vernon Wells on March 26.

    Katie Crutchfield’s new album Cerulean Salt — cerulean being a colour ranging between blue and cyan (I had to look it up) — brings a quality of production never seen before. Although the album was produced in a family member’s studio, you would be surprised to hear the difference between the debut of Waxahatchee last year, which was, in my opinion, not very memorable.

Though overall I have had an enjoyable and eye-opening university experience (which began back when I started as a freshman in the fall of 2008), there hasn’t been anything quite like the past two years in particular.

While the one girl was rather optimistic, claiming that her horoscope predicted an exciting and inspiring turn of events in her life, the other criticized the notion of horoscopes all together.
