The Niagara Region got a little tease of spring over the last couple days, however, Mother Nature is bringing back winter later today.
Environment Canada has issued a winter storm warning for the region – due to an intense low pressure system from Texas. It’s expected that rain, or a mix of rain and wet snow will begin to fall Thursday afternoon. As the temperature drops, the rain will turn into snow with wind reaching about 60 km/h.
The snow storm warning is estimating 15 to 30 cm of snow beginning Thursday evening and ending late Friday morning. Environment Canada says that the worst of conditions will be overnight, but the Friday morning commute will be impacted as well.
