Why have you decided to run for this position?

“To continue representing the student body in the best possible manner. I feel as though I am the best candidate to accomplish what students specifically are looking for when working with faculty and administration.”

If elected, what would you like to see the Senate accomplish?

“Ensuring that students’ needs are continuously put at the forefront and prioritized when discussing institution changes and improvements.
For example, with indigenizing the institution. Our indigenous student population should be consulted when considering any implementations within the schools construct.”

What makes you the best candidate for this position?

“I have extensive experience through sitting on the Brock Universities Students’ Administrative Council as well as my work this year currently sitting on Senate, and more specifically on the Teaching and Learning committee.
I have the knowledge of student needs and can ensure that these are met through consistent participation and support.
My commitment to serving the students to the best of my abilities is unwavering and has been on display throughout my tenure at Brock University as both a student, employee and volunteer.”

To the best of your knowledge, what is the Senate and what does it do?

“Due to my current position on Senate I am familiar with its workings and full spectrum of responsibilities; some of which include educational policies, expenditure of funds, and laws and regulations for the conduct of the Universities affairs.
Most importantly as a member of Senate I represent the student body, and am here to ensure their needs are met in the most appropriate manner.”
