Following an initial launch in Toronto in December 2017, Instacart and Loblaws Companies Limited are announcing the expansion of grocery delivery to the Niagara region. Over 228,000 homes in Niagara Falls, Thorold, and St. Catharines will be eligible for delivery. Service areas will include Port Dalhousie; Glendridge; Merritton; Brock University; Marineland and Navy Island and Instacart will service postal codes beginning with: L2V, L2W, L2T, L2S, L2R, L2P, L2N, L2M, L2J, L2G, L2H, and L2E.
Interested residents can download the Instacart app or visit Instacart online at instacart.ca to order groceries up to five days in advance. The code HISTCATHARINES can be entered at checkout if it is your first time using the service in order to a total of $20 off an order of $35 or more. For delivery, typical fees are either $3.99 for a grocery bill of more than $35, or $7.99 for a bill of less than $35. However, by using the HISTCATHARINES, residents can get free delivery on their first order (the code will expire at the end of March 2018).
