We all have a sweet tooth and when these cravings come around they can be hard to ignore. This recipe came from just three simple ingredients that can be found in almost any pantry. Ice cream is one of the ultimate comfort foods, so instead of grabbing a pint from the neighbourhood convenience store, try this homemade version which will be sure to satiate any sweet tooth.
Makes : 1 ½ quarts
Prep Time : 10 minutes
Freeze Time : overnight (for best results)
2 Cups of Cold whipping cream
1 can of sweetened condensed milk
2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Flavour or Condiment of your choice :
Coffee / Oreo / Candies / Sprinkles
In a medium bowl, stir together condensed milk, (vanilla, if desired). In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, beat cream on high until stiff peaks form. This process usually takes around 3 minutes with an electric mixer. No mixer? No problem! You can use a handheld whisk, it will just take longer for peaks to form
Next, with a rubber spatula, gently fold whipped cream into condensed milk mixture. Pour into a 4 1/2-by-8 1/2-inch loaf pan. Freeze until firm, 6 hours.
