Nadia Ariella Bathish
Faculty of Social Sciences (1 seat available)
Why have you decided to run for this position?
“I have gained so much as a Brock student, from being able to develop a positive skill set to gaining the inspiration to get involved, all of which can be credited to the knowledge and experiences that I have gained as a Faculty of Social Science student. With that being said, I feel inclined to give back to the Brock community for all that I have gained thus far, and I feel like taking this opportunity to run for a position on BUSAC gives me the chance to do so.”
What makes you the best candidate for this position?
“I am the best candidate for this position because my experiences within the faculty and as a varsity athlete have helped me build a close connection with the school. These experiences also play a pivotal role in the shaping of my leadership and time management skills, which I feel are essential characteristics that any member of BUSAC should have.”
How do you plan to represent the students of your faculty?
“During this election period, I’m campaigning on transparency and connectivity. I plan on fulfilling this by advocating with a sound voice for the students within the faculty on important topics like lowering food cost, mental health, and wellness week.”
To the best of your knowledge, what is BUSAC and what does it do?
“BUSAC is the student governing body that contributes to the planning and organization of the administrative aspect of BUSU. They therefore deal with club funding requests, and vote on different referenda.”
