Student-at-Large (16 seats available)
Why have you decided to run for this position?
“I have decided to run for the student-at-large position because I love Brock! I want to help further develop the student environment and create a student atmosphere that all Badgers are proud to be associated with. If elected to BUSAC, I’d play a vital role in helping improve that student environment.”
Why do you believe you should be elected as a student-at-large?
“I believe that I should be elected because I feel that I’m capable of voicing opinions, not only for myself, but for all students within the university. Most importantly, I’m not afraid to take a stand, and I will speak up for those who want things done in the university, using my position to stand on their behalf. In my time at Brock, I’ve tried to get involved, I’m currently one of the Game Day Managers for the Men’s and Women’s Varsity Hockey teams, on BUSU’s street team, and I’ve volunteered with the organization, SNAP.”
How do you plan to represent the full diversity of students and programs on campus?
“I plan to represent the full diversity of students by keeping an open mind to a diverse group of people, not to shut anyone out, have open arms and be as welcoming as possible to as many students as possible. No matter who you are, or what year of study, your ideas and opinions matter!”
To the best of your knowledge, what is BUSAC and what does it do?
“BUSAC is a student council that acts as a voice for all students through its elected representatives. The council passes laws, proposes referendums, it’s the student governance mechanism of the university.”
