Goodman School of Business (1 seat available)
Why have you decided to run for this position?
“I feel like it’s very important to be involved in school and to try and make the students’ lives easier. I’m already representing the student voices on BUSAC, Senate and the other committees I sit on. I’ve also had the opportunity to represent Brock at OUSA’s general assembly in November.”
What makes you the best candidate for this position?
“My experience and my passion about Brock and BUSU make me the best candidate. I’m also currently serving as an undergraduate Senator, a BUSAC councillor representing Goodman and I work for BUSU as the executive assistant to Kyle Rose. As a voting member this year, I had the opportunity to sit on BUSAC’s External Affairs and Ethics Committee. On Senate, I sit on the Undergraduate Program Committee and the Information, Technology and Infrastructure Committee. Students are able to approach me and I respond right away. Just recently I was able to meet on the same day as a student emailed me and then bring their voice to Senate. I felt proud of the opportunity to be able to speak up for them.”
How do you plan to represent the students of your faculty?
“I’m planning on holding some sessions with students once or twice per semester. I will also be in constant communication with the dean and the other faculty members and professors to make sure the student voices are being heard.”
To the best of your knowledge, what is BUSAC and what does it do?
“BUSAC stands for Brock University Students’ Administrative Council. It is the governing body of BUSU and we approve funding and bylaws. We also make sure the executives are held accountable and we ensure that BUSU is running efficiently and as effectively as possible.”
