SHOULD CANADA OPEN THE DOOR TO 25,000 SYRIAN REFUGEES?
By the beginning of next year, Prime Minister Trudeau has promised to open Canada to 25,000 Syrian refugees. Some people argue that the security risk is too high after the attacks in Paris on Nov. 13 while others argue that Canada has a duty to stick to its humanitarian commitments and help those people fleeing the war. A third opinion is that the vast majority of the ‘refugees’ are single male economic migrants and are not genuine refugees. Should Canada resettle the 25,000 Syrian refugees? Where do you stand on the issue?
