RBC Steel Blade tournament kicks off this week at Seymour-Hannah Centre

On Saturday, Sept. 20, the 15th annual Steel Blade tournament will take place, with the Brock Badgers playing host to the Laurier Golden Hawks for Brock’s Homecoming.

Brittany Brooks_Mens Hockey 03This annual competition has been growing strong since its start in 1999, when the Badgers played against Niagara University, ending in a tie at 5-5, leaving both teams to share the honour.Throughout the course of the event these past 14 years, Brock University has kept the Steel Blade here at home six times. A year ago to the day, the Badger’s won over the Laurier Golden Hawks 6-5 in overtime.

The puck drops at 7:15 p.m. at the Seymour-Hannah centre, see you there Badgers. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students and seniors, with free admission for children under 10.
