The Lutz Teutloff collection

Lutz Teutloff selected and purchased a collection of sculptures from international artists to be displayed around Brock University’s campus. The series, which has been developing since 1989, was chosen with students in mind. According to Teutloff’s Web site, the pieces are intended to, “serve as a visible metaphor of the university’s most fundamental mission to remind us of who we are, to challenge convention and to pursue new possibilities”.
Shown on the top left, Buky Schwartz’s “Facing Eternity” was given to Brock in 1993. On the right, Ilan Averbuch’s “The Bleeding Harp” was set up in 1989 and sits outside of Brock’s Sean O’Sullivan Theatre.
