The Brock Synchro Club, part of Brock/Niagara Aquatics, competed at the Canadian University Synchronized Swimming Championships earlier this month, in a competition that featured 73 swimmers from seven schools across Canada.Soloist Jessica Paquin of Brock finished first overall in her group after putting in a fantastic performance. The duet of Alaina Goodine and Laura Peters took second in their category, while the team of Leah Tomkins, Lisa Bluteau, Alicia Ferguson and Jenn Brewer was fourth.

The results were a good improvement over results from a competition earlier in the year at McGill, where the soloist and duet routines finished third and the team was fourth.

The club will host a water show here at Brock on March 2 starting at 4 p.m. featuring many swimmers from other clubs, and will be open to the public.
